Navigate 3.1.2 Creation and Investigation into Courses

I chose to explore the Blackboard website for creating a course. It is very simple and allows for creation of multiple courses. It leads you through a step by step procedure to set up the course. It requires very little skill. You just need to be able to navigate the website and inset the information. You can create a class to the level of your desire, from simple and to the point or in depth with multiple levels of content.
As this course is to prepare for a virtual setting my question would be how much freedom do instructors have at designing their content and courses. At my previous employment there was little freedom. As an instructor content and LMS design was strictly developed by curriculum designers to have a uniformity in each course. Teachers were there to facilitate and instruct, but not to alter the content or LMS system.
