Navigate 1.3.1 LMS & CMS

A CMS is a simplified version of an online course. It allows uploading of documents, discussion posts, and simple tasks. It does not allow transferring of grade book, identifying identities of users, or more complex tasks.

A LMS is what is needed to be taken serious as a robust virtual school. LMS is a complex website that allows for registration of users, tracking of users, and key items to help students taking multiple courses at once. It allows for teachers of two different subjects with the same student to be able to share information and track the progress of the student.  It is a large account and typically costs more. To be taken serious as a credited education possibility we need the option to be able to create units, graphics, and use the web 2.0 tools to engage the students in their learning.
