Communicate 2.1.1

Instructor: The paragraph does go with my perception of an online teacher, but an online teacher is more than just an instructor they are a motivator. We direct students through the modules, we facilitate the information, we teach the information in live lessons, and we motivate students. We motivate students to work when they are not in a traditional school setting.

Student: This is exactly my perception and clear description. The student must take responsibility for the course, even more so than in a traditional school. They must have motivation to log in and create the time for the course.

Parents: Parents need to stay involved on students progress, expectations, and overall time committed to the course. They need to have open communication with teachers when un planned events occur that may take time away from the course for the student.

Administration/hybrid: I believe more depth should be given on this hybrid model. This is the wave of the future. A key system in Florida is Miami/Date County. They have a huge hybrid model that is going to end up being a key vision for virtual schools future. This growth of a hybrid cross of education is the next wave of the future. Students will have two teachers. The facilitator in the classroom to guide them and the online instructor of the course.
